Empowerment

This past year has been a doozy on both a personal and professional level. The pandemic closed all photographers down for such a long time. I am so happy that we are finally emerging from all of this. The visual of a bear hibernating through winter comes to mind. However, rather than sleeping I spent a lot of the time assessing what photography means to me and what I want moving forward.

What came to me were the words empower and beauty. All people, whether on a conscious level or not, want to feel beautiful, empowered, and important. What better way to feel all of those thing than a photo session where your hair and makeup is done, you're wearing something you love, and your photographer is treating you like you are the only person in the world.

With all the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we forget about the self-love and self-care that is so crucial to our well-being. We are just as important as our family and we lose ourselves in caring for others far too often.

All that said, I am happy to announce that I will be adding boudoir appointments in addition to my regular photography. This is a new genre for me but it incorporates all of my values as a photographer, inner strength, because face it, it can be nerve wracking to do a boudoir session, beauty, and the notion of being the center of the universe for a day.

My job is to take the insecurity away, no matter how you want to be photographed, and to make you see the version of yourself that you may have forgotten about or haven't let out in far too long.
